Don't Stop Believin'

Hold on to that feelin'~

PRO TIP: Secret Nation, while very entertaining, is a work of fiction.

Ironically, the funniest thing about this picture may not be the numbers themselves but that the 'Yes' bar is red and the 'No' bar is blue.

Hi, in case you're interested, I tried to post this comment twice on the VOCM site today, but it was not displayed there among the others.
If you'll permit this comment, thank you.

"What a waste of time question, and an idea!! Williams uses repeatedly uses language that suggest this very thing, of threatening to separate. This thing is, he Overuses the words like "our own", "Masters of our own Destiny". It's fine to hear that from time to time, but to carry the population's support by instilling the "go it alone" idea, is just misleading, and bluster.

When the outmigration trend is reversed, the $10 billion debt is paid off, the unemployment rate is not double digits, but closer to the national average, the hospitals, and health care system is no longer falling apart, and once we can be sure that leaders say do what they say they are going to do, and stop lying about old federal funding used to construct the often talked about but not acted upon Trans Labrador Highway, and finally if there is reason to hate Canada so much, will I consider separating from Canada.

If Danny wastes too much time on the ABC's, he will risking giving his government D,E,F grades on our province's priorities.

Think about this for a moment: Perhaps it's because he cannot do much about developing employment, reversing outmigration, and has not done much to fix health care problems, that he resorts to nationalistic language all the time, to fire up peoples' emotions, and thus their support. He should be concentrating more on solving the problems in the province, and stop building walls instead of bridges.

Actions speak louder than words Mr. Williams. You need to inspire people, not always preparing people for war with the feds. Personally, I'm Fed up with that."

This must have been an early screen cap. The government computers bombed the poll later on and drove the numbers to 81/16 in favour of going it alone.

For cryin' out loud. They can't even "go it alone" on a poll-stacking exercise.

I prefer to look at less as "poll-stacking" and more as government plants speaking for the "silent majority".

I mean, it's not like an online poll administered by VOCM could be easily manipulated or anything!
